The Barton Line is in North and North East Lincolnshire. It runs from Barton-on-Humber south east to Cleethorpes.

Barton station is close to the Humber Bridge. It is located on the south bank of the Humber.

The ferry service between New Holland Pier and Hull finished in 1981 with the opening of the Humber Bridge.

Passenger services on the line are provided by Northern Rail.
