The Fleetwood, Preston and West Riding Junction Railway was incorporated in July 1846.
In 1856 it absorbed the Preston and Longridge Railway.
It was absorbed jointly by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and the London and North Western Railway in July 1866.
